Captain Cook Square is currently undergoing a multimillion pound redevelopment. 

Due for completion in Spring 2023, the project will see the centre transformed into  a vibrant and exciting entertainment, dining and retail quarter in the heart of Middlesbrough.

Opening summer 2022 will be two brand new, large scale entertainment venues – Level X, a bowling alley and go-karting venue and The Wired Lobby, esports and gaming arena, which will have taken over the former TJ Hughes and Peacocks stores respectively.
